Latin America and the Caribbean have shown significant progress in matters of food security and nutrition, which led them to meet the goal undertaken in the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). These progresses are threatened, among other factors, by climate change and the effects it can have over areas as diverse as food production, income generation, the availability of natural resources or the domestic food supply. The work shows how climate change affects the availability, access, utilization, and stability of food.
