This document, the third of the series, is the yearly update of the FAO analysis, “Climate finance in the agriculture and land use sector – global and regional trends” and includes newly released data for 2020. The sectoral analysis remains a very important aspect to understand the global architecture of climate-related finance. FAO analysis identified that in 2020, USD 21.7 billion, or 22 percent of climate-related finance was allocated to the agriculture and land use sector. Similar to the trend observed for 2000–2019, the share of climate-related finance allocated to agriculture and land use sector has continued to decrease.
