"This toolkit clarifies the key considerations to take into account and fulfil the requirements of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) when developing funding proposals. It focuses on the essential elements; illustrates the GCF project cycle, the GCF proposal template and key requirements. It also provides a checklist to guide project proponents on how to get started with the preparation of a proposal, its indicators and presents the options of financial support available from the GCF to support the proposal preparation. It helps in identifying how a chosen activity contributes to the national climate strategies or plans, such as National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs), or equivalent."
