The working paper identifies five core pillars of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and sub-components specific to the agriculture and land use sectors based on a global stocktaking of NDCs and alignment with the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement. It can serve as a framework for formulating NDC priorities, planning processes and support needs in the agriculture and land use sectors, as well as a comparative benchmark for highlighting gaps and entry-points for ambition raising in future NDC revisions.
