This document outlines windows of opportunities that can be used to mainstream ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) into countries’ national adaptation plans. It provides case studies from countries that have actively mainstreamed EbA in the agriculture sector of their NAP. It highlights how the actions needed to formulate a NAP can also be used concurrently for EbA activities.
