The virtual workshop was formulated under the project “Capacity Building for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Management in Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey (FISHCap): - GCP/SEC/013/TUR” implemented under the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture (FTPP II) funded by the Government of the Republic of Turkey. The event was organized on 23–24 June 2020 in two sessions in cooperation with Bogazici University’s Center for Climate Change and Policy Studies, a research centre conducting interdisciplinary research on the impacts of climate change in regions such as the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Central Asia. The virtual workshop aimed to provide an overview of the status and impacts of climate change on aquaculture and fisheries in Central Asia and the Caucasus and to discuss potential adaptation and mitigation activities.
